Biography

The Beginning - An Overview
With her distinctive vocal style and instinctive grasp of showmanship, singer Michelle Lynn has built a reputation as one of Arizona's top female vocalists. That reputation also preceeded her industry success as she extended her talents all the way to Nashville Tennessee, as the 20 year old vocalist began to launch a career as a National Recording Artist.

Biography
Just like many nationally know entertainer's - as a youngster, Michelle spent hours as a child singing along with recordings of her favorite artists. These self motivated private sing a longs soon became performances for family and friends as relatives started noticing her own unique and obvious talent.

As her gift continued to develope through school plays and church choir, Michelle began putting her vocal talent to real work for various charities in her home town of Phoenix and started performing at numerous benefits (Arizona Special Olympics) in the area. These public appearances and performances soon left audiences cheering. It was then that this would be the beginning to a pattern of greatness and music success for this blossoming young teenage women.

Finally, at the urging of family and friends, and encouraged by the positive audience response, Michelle soon recorded a demo tape at a local Phoenix studio. Though pleased with the results, Michelle was unsure what to do with the finished product. Her father however, happened to pass through a small little town in Illinois named Carmi. It was while visting family in McLeansboro that Leroy heard of a talent contest in progress and -- unknown to Michelle -- entered a tape. Within a week she received a letter asking her to come to Carmi and perform in the "True Value Hardware Country Showdown". Though she didn't win that day, she walked away with an even bigger prize when "Alan Borders", a member of the up and coming country group Surefire (the back up band), heard her sing and suggested she try professional recording. She left college to pursue her life long dream  ........................   and a star was born.

Climbing the charts from 92.
With her new music contact Michelle sent her tape on to Nashville and almost immediately started gaining attention from a number of management and production companies representing all styles of music. It was then that she teamed up with producer Dan Mitchell, perhaps best known for the Alabama hit, If You're Gonna Play In Texas you got a have a fiddle in the band, for a series of recording sessions that led to 3 top 100 BillBoard & CashBox Hits, various Television Spots, also including "The Easter Seals Telethon of Stars " with Guest Host Clifton Davis and Country performer Janie Frickie.

Michelle Lynn accomplished all this as an independent artist on only on a few custom labels- MASTER, & SOLID GOLD RECORDS. This is a feat almost unheard of for any artist when they have no major record label contract or major/independant record distribution. Michelle gives special recognition and many thanks to KNOT RADIO in good old PRESCOTT ARIZONA for their contribution."thanks for playing my records" .

As time would allow, Michelle continued to visit Nashville as she kept yielding songs from many top writers including "Kent Blazy" who has also written songs for top artists like "'Gary Morris" & Garth Brooks, who is known for singing the hit - "If tomorrow never comes".  Soon after the completion of her album Hit N Run Heart and many appearances abroad Michelle began working with many different well known bands  for local performances until finally put her first and very own band together, which she called "Hit-N-Heart" after her debut albums title cut.

Michelle continued to work around the valley opening for major acts like "Colin Raye", and found the enjoyment of working the club venues, keeping up a fan base and enjoy the excitement of meeting new and interesting people as her career would allow.

Finally, after a few years of an expanding professional music career, Michelle felt the need to take some time away from the road to spend with family and close friends and as we all do from tiem to time felt it necessary to also . Taking a break from her first love "music" wasn't easy ". However, having been performing since a child, Michelle found the need as we all do from time to time to embraced other hobbies and interests.

Music of course would have it's way with her. After having her fun of being an Interior Designer, Personal Trainer & NPC Body Builder, Figure Competitor and acting CFO (Corporate Financial Controller) for a locally family owned and operated business - Miss Michelle Lynn's music & her fans demanded that she start fanning the flames yet once again. It's funny how fate can keep you right where you need to be. You know, sometimes timing is everything but one thing is for sure - "destiny can also not be denied".

Michelle Lynn ran into an long time friend - Keyboard player extraordinaire "Ron Spurlin". These two friends soon realized that they had been brought together for an even greater purpose.  Since, Michelle Lynn & Ron Spurlin have formed one of the best sounding bands ever developed -Michelle Lynn's Legacy Band.

Michelle's long time friends have made her realize just how much the music business has missed her .......... & her them.

THE INDEPENDENT WAY

It's "Us vs. Them" on music radio

Salvatore Caputo of THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC  wrote an article piece on Michelle Lynn that pretty much sums up radio & the link to artrists music and how they do or don't get added to their play lists. Many people here locally have wondered why they never heard of Michelle Lynn. Well, the facts here show that  when the rest of the world was getting to know Michelle ......... her own home town was robbed of really getting to know their local star by none other than Phoenix Country Giant KNIX Radio! But as all can see from some of the articles that have been posted - Michelle was a fire that couldn't be put out. Catch one of her live shows and you'll see and hear the beauty behind her industry success.

This also shows just how powerful Michelle Lynns releases were. Charted Positions are only a result of record airplay & or record sales. GO FIGURE
